kitchen porter

as a kitchen porter you will play a vital role in assisting the kitchen team. you will support the team throughout the shift, ensuring the kitchen and staff areas are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and safety at all times. we look to our kitchen porters as chefs of the future, so it really is a great stepping stone

line chef

once customers are seated and served by our friendly front of house staff the next thing they will see is you. as you cook delicious noodles in our open plan restaurants, they will be amazed at how quickly the food reaches the table and its fantastic presentation and taste, making this a very rewarding job. this is a fantastic way to develop your skills in the kitchen and a potential stepping stone to becoming a sous chef or kitchen manager

sous chef

our sous chefs help with the general running of the kitchen. you’ll have a sound knowledge of food preparation and will also promote food hygiene and health and safety standards. it’s a great opportunity to work with other managers to ensure your restaurant achieves its full potential as an individual business and part of the wagamama brand

senior sous chef

our senior sous chefs assist the head chef in managing the back of house team effectively. it’s a lot of responsibility being the head chef’s number 2 – not only will you be responsible for helping to maintain the wagamama ethos and style in the kitchen, but you will be responsible for the entire kitchen in the head chef’s absence

head chef

the head chef is responsible for the all aspects of the kitchen. reporting to the general manager you will together ensure your restaurant is successful and maintain the wagamama ethos and style. you will provide leadership to your team as well as inspiring and motivating them

front of house team member

from seating to serving, you will be the first point of contact for the customer, which is a pretty important role. as the face of wagamama the impression you make will have a lasting effect and determine whether they return in the future

you will have a positive, hands-on approach and will be as keen to work hard as you are to have fun! in return, you will benefit from great training and development and we hope you’ll be our wagamama managers of the future

front of house manager

if you like our thinking and have led a team before, we’ll give you all the training you need to manage the front of our restaurant. as customers pour in, you’ll ensure they’re seated, have their orders taken and are served some of our delicious noodles all in the space of 15 minutes flat. it’s a demanding but rewarding role, where you’ll work with the general manager handling profit and loss accounts and will also have the opportunity to take an active role in the coaching and development of team members

assistant general manager

working closely with the general manager you will seek to maintain and improve wagamama’s high standards and excellent customer service reputation. it’s a big job managing the business’s needs and ensuring that front of house is run smoothly, while also taking an active interest in how back of house is run. and as well as all this you will be responsible for the whole restaurant in the absence of the general manager!

general manager

our general managers are responsible for the entire restaurant, both back and front of house. you will inspire and motivate a team of energetic individuals, while ensuring that our high standards are met in all areas, including the restaurant’s budgeted sales and cost targets. only the very best people can become our general managers. it’s hard work, at times very demanding – but just as often rewarding!

support office

sadly our wagamama support office doesn’t have a restaurant attached, so they make their way down to their local waga’s in soho if they ever need a noodle fix!

the sole purpose of the support office is in the title, they support the restaurants, not only in the uk but globally. the wonderful departments who make the magic happen are operations, hr & training, marketing, finance, i.t., property, international and of course our administration team who really do all the work!
